Carnival
Welcome to Masquerydes Carnival page, we have always loved carnival and have joined in ourselves whenever we can.
This year Masqueryde teamed up with local stilt -walkers to form our award winning "witch doctor" entry.
Ryde has the oldest carnival in the country and our processions are an extraordinary display of local traditional floats and costumes combined with fabulous constructions influenced by Rio, Notting Hill and worldwide carnival concepts.
Here on the Isle of Wight we are lucky enough to have our own carnival learning centre, where we can learn about, enjoy and create our own carnival contribution.
